LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display characteristics by preventing a flickering phenomenon and afterimages. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display apparatus, a first switching element Tr1 receives a first data signal and a second switching element Tr2 receives a second data signal having a polarity opposite to that of the first data signal. A first pixel electrode PE1 is electrically connected to the first switching element to receive the first data signal and a second pixel electrode PE2 is electrically connected to the second switching element to receive the second data signal. The first pixel electrode faces the second pixel electrode and is electrically insulated from the second pixel electrode. A liquid crystal layer is controlled in response to the first and second data signals applied to the first and second pixel electrodes, respectively. Thus, the liquid crystal display apparatus may prevent the flickering phenomenon and afterimages. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
