<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope insertion tube and an endoscope system capable of easily inserting the endoscope insertion tube into the body cavity such as the large intestine without giving a pain to a patient and improving the insertion property of the endoscope insertion tube into the body cavity. <P>SOLUTION: This endoscope insertion tube is provided with the endoscope insertion tube insertable into a subject, a guide tube 3 provided in the outer circumferential side of the endoscope insertion tube as a propulsion generating part and rotating around the longitudinal axis of the endoscope insertion tube, and a connecting body 30 provided in the guide tube 3 as a propulsion lowering means for lowering the propulsion generated in the guide tube 3.
