PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine with a structure in which a short circuit between terminals in a connector is not caused, even if foreign matters enter from an air breather mechanism. SOLUTION: A fitting position of the connector 10 to a side wall portion 600A is arranged so that the position may be at an upper part than a fitting position of the air breather mechanism 20, by which even if the foreign matters such as impurities or the like enter a housing 600, and fall down through an inner face of the side wall portion 600A, the foreign matters are suppressed to reach the connector 10, for the air breather mechanism 20 is positioned at lower part than the connector.
