PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detoxification method of harmful hardly-decomposable organic matter which can efficiently decompose and remove harmful hardly-decomposable organic matter, such as dioxin, contained in waste water or harmful solid, in water under normal temperature and pressure to detoxify the organic matter. SOLUTION: Waste water containing the harmful hardly-decomposable organic matter is electrolyzed in presence of an electrolysis accelerator. Harmful solid containing the harmful hardly-decomposable organic matter is electrolyzed in water in presence of the electrolysis accelerator. The harmful hardly-decomposable organic matter contained in the waste water is adsorbed on activated carbon. The activated carbon is separated from the waste water to be fed into water, and then electrolysis is carried out in presence of the electrolysis accelerator. The harmful solid containing the harmful hardly-decomposable organic matter is fed into water, then dissolved by acid and washed. The residue of the harmful solid is fed into water to be electrolyzed in presence of the electrolysis accelerator. It is desirable that at least one among oxygen acid and/or its salt, a nickel salt, and a copper salt is used as the electrolysis accelerator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
