PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which allows production of a toner having good developing performance and transferability and causing little image degradation with high throughput in a high yield. SOLUTION: The toner manufacturing method includes at least the steps of melt-kneading a mixture containing at least a binder resin and a colorant; cooling the resulting kneaded body; crushing the cooled body; pulverizing the crushed powder with a pulverization device; and classifying the resulting pulverized powder with a classification device, wherein surfaces of rotors and/or stators constituting the pulverization device and the classification device and/or product discharging outlets and/or inner surfaces of the devices have been blast-treated.
