PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running body having a width expansion function of a working machine capable of preventing a digged object and other objects from being damaged due to their collision against a hydraulic hose and a hydraulic cylinder. SOLUTION: This running body has a hydraulic motor 3 for running on left and right side frames 2. Hydraulic fluid is supplied to the hydraulic motor 3 from a hydraulic pump loaded in a vehicle body on a center frame 1 through the hydraulic hose 6. An interval between the left and right side frames 2 for the center frame 1 is expanded and contracted by the hydraulic cylinder 7. This running body is provided with a cover 9 for covering a part between the center frame 1 and the side frame 2 in the hydraulic hose 6 and/or bars 9, 12 for protecting the hydraulic cylinder 7.
