PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sun roof device for a vehicle capable of providing liberating influence to an occupant regardless of the position of his seat by largely opening a roof opening of an upper part of one or both of a front seat and a rear seat. SOLUTION: The sun roof device for the vehicle is provided with a first opening/closing body 3 for closing the first roof opening 1 at a front part of a roof and releasing the first roof opening 1 by sliding by a first drive means 2; a second opening/closing body 6 for closing a second roof opening 4 at a rear part of the roof and releasing the second roof opening 4 by sliding by a second drive means 5; and a fixed roof element 7 for closing a roof central part between the first opening/closing body 3 and the second opening/closing body 6. Further, the first opening/closing body 3 is moved to an upper side of the fixed roof element 7 to release the first roof opening 1 and further, the second opening/closing body 6 is moved to a lower side of the fixed roof element 7 to release the second roof opening.
