PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a lower rail and an upper rail in a small size, enhance the appearance of the lower rail, and hinder the foreign matter from falling into the inner space of the lower rail. SOLUTION: A housing 43 is formed with a section in an inverted U-shape convex upward and composed of a pair of side walls 43a stretching fore and aft to constitute the U-shape side faces and an upper wall 43b extending fore and aft to constitute the U-shape top surface. The housing 43 is furnished with a notch 43c formed as missing from the upper wall 43b to the side walls 43a, and a nut 42 is fitted in the notch 43c and pinched in the vehicle fore-and-aft direction by the notch end faces 43d and 43e to form the notch 43c among the upper wall 43b and side walls 43a.
