PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine capable of easily assembling a connection device used for electrical connection between an armature of a motor in a housing and a motor drive circuit outside the housing, and capable of improving productivity. SOLUTION: A compressor as the scroll type fluid machine is provided with the housing storing both of a scroll unit and the armature of the motor, and the connection device 66 used for electrical connection between a stator coil 62 of the armature and the motor drive circuit outside an end cover 16 of the housing. The connection device 66 is provided with a lead holder 70 for fastening the end cover 16 between a head 72 and a snap anchor 74 when being inserted into a through hole 68 of the end cover 16, and a lead wire 76 from the stator coil 62 is airtightly guided to the outside of the end cover 16 through the lead holder 70.
