<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical assembly and an optical module which suppress the leak of noise. <P>SOLUTION: The optical assembly 3 is equipped with an optical device 23 having a semiconductor optical element 33 and a package 31 which is conductive and contains the semiconductor optical element 33, a conductive sleeve member 25 fixed with the package 31 and mounted with an optical connector 63 equipped with an optical fiber 65 from the outside to optically couple the optical fiber 65 to the semiconductor optical element 33, and a conductive film M1 which is formed on the optical axis L1 of the semiconductor optical element 33 with a translucent and conductive property.
