<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which has a low optical anisotropy (Re, Rth), is substantially optically isotropic, further, has a small wavelength dispersion in the optical anisotropy (Re, Rth) and yet shows a low optical anisotropy (Re, Rth) even after stretching or shrinking. <P>SOLUTION: Re<SB>(λ)</SB>and Rth<SB>(λ)</SB>of the optical film satisfies the following relations; 0≤Re<SB>(590)</SB>≤10 and ¾Rth<SB>(590)</SB>¾≤25. Therein, the Re<SB>(λ)</SB>is front retardation value (nm) at wavelength λ(nm) and the Rth<SB>(λ)</SB>is retardation value (nm) in the film thickness direction at wavelength λ(nm). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
