PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold cathode fluorescent lamp of which luminance of emitted light is uniformed in high precision. SOLUTION: The cold cathode fluorescent lamp 10 comprises a phosphor 20 flatly formed on an inner face of a front panel 14 emitting visible light by an irradiation of ultraviolet-ray, a common electrode 22 flatly formed on an inner face of a rear panel 16 so as to face the phosphor 20, a plurality of individual electrodes 26 arranged on whole face of the common electrode 22 with appropriate distance from each other at neighboring area of the common electrode 22, and a carbon thin film 28 for electron emission formed on the surface of respective individual electrodes 26.
