INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR UNDERWATER STRUCTURES AND HAVING A POSITIONING DEVICE

An inspection system (IE) is used for observing and servicing aquaculture, port installations or the like underwater surfaces. The system comprises a continuously adjustable vertical guide (VF) with a telescopic rod (TS), and a continuously adjustable horizontal guide (HF) with a guide track (FS, FB) which pre-sets a path, as well as a carriage (WA) guided thereon on guide rollers (PR) for receiving the vertical guide (VF) and corresponding inspection appliances (IG). The inspection system (IE) is economical and provides a substantially unlimited observation range. For that purpose, the telescopic rod (TS) for the vertical guide (VF) can be extended without any steps, and the guide track (FB) for the horizontal guide (HF) can be variably pre-set in a continuous curve or be composed of linear sections. The vertical and horizontal guides (VF1HF) span the inspection plane for the various inspection appliances (IG) in the three space co-ordinates.
