Tunnel structure comprises a central base body (36) formed as a cast part, attached parts (32, 44, 46), and main ribs (52) arranged and structured so that forces of side impacts can be safely deviated. Preferred Features: The main ribs run across the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and span the whole area of the base body. The main ribs are spaced at 10-200 mm, preferably 100 mm, from each other. The cast part extends over the whole length of the tunnel structure. |
