COLORANT COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF COLORING

A colorant composition comprising pigment particles having an average particle diameter of 200 nm or smaller and binder polymer particles. This composition can form a thin even colored coating layer on the surface of a fiber structure without impairing the texture or flexibility of the fiber structure and without causing color unevenness. It can color the fiber structure regardless of the kind of the material thereof. The composition has satisfactory coloring properties and excellent fastness. In a method of fiber-structure material coloring with this composition, even a mixture material can be colored with the single colorant composition through a single coloring treatment. This method is easy, is excellent in operation efficiency, energy efficiency, and water source efficiency, and has no fear of causing environmental pollution.
