METHOD FOR COOPERATIVE DIVERSITY IN MIMO WIRELESS NETWORK

A method for cooperative diversity in an MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) wireless network is provided to increase a diversity gain in the MIMO wireless network by independently transmitting a plurality of streams in relay. A method for cooperative diversity in an MIMO wireless network includes the steps of: performing decoding for a plurality of streams received from a source, and checking whether an error is generated in each stream to transmit information to the source by a relay(S204); transmitting the streams without errors to a destination in relay by the relay(S210); and retransmitting the streams with errors to the destination by receiving the information on error generation by the source(S208).
