<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved surgical clip fixing device and a method using it. <P>SOLUTION: The surgical clip fixing device 10 to fix the surgical clip to a blood vessel, a duct, an anastomosed region or the like includes a housing 12, a movable trigger 16 which is connected to the housing, a long shaft 18 extending from the housing, and jaws which are formed on a distal end of the shaft and oppose to each other.
