PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the falling-off of the pipette tip inserted in a nozzle. SOLUTION: A nozzle 71 for sucking and discharging a liquid is provided on a head main body 70 and the pipette tip 62 is inserted in the nozzle 72. Two fixing plate 72 are pivotally provided on the head main body 70. Further, a solenoid 90 and a moving mechanism composed of a solenoid 90 and the connection member 92 connected to the movable iron core 91 of the solenoid 90 are provided on the head main body 70. The respective fixing plates are moved between a fixing position and a release position by the moving mechanism. The respective fixing plates present at the fixing position hold and fix the pipette tip 62 to prevent the falling-off of the pipette tip 62 from the nozzle 71. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
