PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof lighting device which illuminates a cabin interior by utilizing natural light from a lighting panel opening, and can sufficiently exhibit stage effect by the illumination light. SOLUTION: In the roof lighting device 6, the natural light from a lighting panel opening 2 formed on a roof panel 1 is lighted in the cabin interior R through a main opening 5 which is formed on a head lining 4 and can be opened or closed by a shade 3. Furthermore, at least one sub opening 14 is formed around the main opening 5, and the cabin interior R can be illuminated by the natural light from the lighting panel opening 2 through the sub opening 14.
