CELLULOSE ACYLATE FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, OPTICAL COMPENSATING FILM, POLARIZING PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substantially optically isotropic cellulose acylate film having small optical anisotropy and uniform optical characteristics without unevenness and preferably small wavelength dispersion of optical anisotropy and suitable for an image display device such as a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The cellulose acylate film has≥450 kgf/mm2(4,510 MPa) tensile modulus in at least one of width direction and the longitudinal direction of the film and the retardation of the film satisfying formula (1): 0 nm≤Re(λ)≤10 nm and formula (2): -25 nm≤Rth (λ)≤25 nm. The Re(λ) and Rth(λ) are the front retardation Re and the retardation Rth in the film thickness direction at the wavelengthλnm, respectively andλis 400-700 nm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
