PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer, constituted so as to use a water-organic solvent mixture type eluate to change the composition of the eluant with the lapse of time, capable of optimizing spray ionizing conditions, while ensuring proper separation and capable of stabilizing spray ionization to high-accuracy analysis. SOLUTION: An inverse gradient pump 6 for sending an addition liquid, of which the mixture ratio is inverse to the eluate sent from a gradient pump 1, is installed in the liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer. In the additive liquid joint 7 provided in between a column 3 and an emitter 4, the additive liquid from the inverse gradient pump 6 is mixed with the eluant, containing the sample components that have eluted from the column 3 and the mixture liquid is held to a constant mixture ratio. Since the mixture liquid has a constant mixture ratio, ionization efficiency can be made substantially constant. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
