PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drier capable of uniformly drying the surface of paste formed on a large substrate inexpensively and with low energy consumption. SOLUTION: The drier dries the paste applied to the substrate 23, and comprises a roller hearth type conveying section 24 for conveying the substrate 23 coated with the paste, a heater 25 disposed to face the surface of the substrate 23 coated with the paste, and a radiation plate 26 disposed to face the surface opposite to the surface of the substrate 23 coated with the paste and coated with far-infrared radiation paint.
