PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fatigue breakage of a ribbon spring and abrasion of a tip end portion of the ribbon spring by inhibiting oscillation of the sprags even when an outer ring runs idle at a high speed. SOLUTION: This disengage-type sprag-type one-way clutch is composed of the outer ring having an approximately circular inner peripheral raceway surface, an inner ring radially separated from the outer ring, and mounted relatively rotatably and concentrically with respect to the outer ring, a plurality of sprags mounted between the outer ring and the inner ring and transmitting torque on inner and outer peripheral raceway surfaces, and the ribbon spring applying rising-up moment to the sprags, and mechanisms for preventing the oscillation of the sprags at prescribed outer ring idling rotational frequency, are mounted on outer diameter-side cam surfaces of the sprags.
