PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane rotary compressor provided with an inner pressure relief device retaining reliability without reducing escape of liquid at a time of liquid compression and not deteriorating operation noise at a time of regular operation. SOLUTION: A recess part equivalent to pressure release passage provided on a rear side plate is provided on a front side plate facing the pressure release passage provided on the rear part side plate in this invention to solve a problem mentioned above. At a time of regular operation in which an inner pressure relief device does not operate, pressure applied on the rear part side plate side and a front part side plate side of the vane is canceled when a vane passes through the pressure release passage on the rear part end plate, by providing the recess part having equivalent area on the front part side plate. Consequently, behavior of the vane when the same passes through the pressure release passage can be stabilized and noise of the vane rotary compressor can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
