PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffering material for glass sheets which solves a problem of easy bending of a joint of a buffering material for glass sheets, has structural strength, does not require a special manufacturing facility, offers a fine material yield, and can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: The buffering material is interposed between adjacent glass sheets. Four frame pieces 11, 11, 12, 12 each made of a shock absorbing material are combined into a frame shape to form a layer of a frame 10A, a plurality of which are combined together. The frame pieces 11, 12 are strip-shaped, and are butted against each other at almost right angles at a corner to form an abutment part.
