PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting member which improves the compression strength of a packaging box and decorativeness of the packaging box on display. SOLUTION: The supporting member 40 is disposed in the packaging box, which consists of a box body 10 formed by raising body side walls 12A to 12D on the outer periphery of a polygonal bottom wall 11, and a lid body 20 formed by raising lid side walls 22A to 22D on the outer periphery of a top wall 21. The packaging box is closed with a predetermined gap formed between the upper end of the body side walls 12A to 12D and the top wall 21. The supporting member 40 has a projecting portion 42 which is located on the upper edge of the body side wall 12B of the box body 10 by a positioning means (holding faces 50, 51), and an inhibiting portion 55 which is provided integrally on the projecting portion 42 to be located on a product (bottle container 1) in the box body 10 and prevent the product from lifting.
