PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good braking feeling, and to stabilize the behavior of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This brake control device for a vehicle is provided with a control means 10 for performing anti-lock brake control to eliminate wheel locking tendency by controlling braking force in a brake system of a pair of brake operation elements L1 and L2 to be independently operated and for performing control to give braking force to wheel brakes B1 and B2 of the brake system on a side different form the operated side when any one of the brake operation elements L1 and L2 is operated. When any one or both of the pair of brake operation elements L1 and L2 are operated and the wheels get likely to fall into a locked state, the control means 10 performs the anti-lock brake control on the brake system of the corresponding wheel and performs the control for giving braking force on the different side brake system.
