PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastomer molding which is represented by various kinds of moldings with a metallic gloss featuring their body being formed of an elastomer e.g. an automotive steering wheel, another automotive interior trim, a grip part of a golf club, a grip part of a fishing rod, other sports goods and a body of communications equipment, and a method for manufacturing such an elastomer molding that a metallic material formed as a film on the surface of a matrix is free from cracks despite the matrix of an elastic material and no possibilities of cracks. SOLUTION: A discontinuous film layer 3 consisting of a discontinuous film is formed on the surface side of a base material 1 composed of the elastomer material, and a top coat layer 5 is formed on the surface of the discontinuous film layer 3.
