摘要 <p>This invention provides a movement guide apparatus comprising a trajectory member and a moving member provided in the trajectory member through a plurality of rolling elements reciprocatably or rotatably in the axial line direction or circumferential direction of the trajectory member. The trajectory member or moving member in its part, near the rolling face of the rolling element, which comes into contact with at least a plurality of rolling elements, is formed of an austenitic metal. The austenitic metal is subjected to carbon solid solution diffusion treatment to form a carbon solid solution layer near the surface thereof (step (S13)) and is machined into a predetermined shape which is then molded (step (S14) to (S19)). An austenitic stainless steel containing at least one of SUS 304 and SUS 316 may be adopted as the austenitic metal. Thus, a movement guide apparatus using an autstenitic metal, which can realize good corrosion resistance, high hardness and highly accurate product dimension, and a production process thereof can be provided.</p>
