<p>Provided is a honeycomb structure which can prevent the elevation of the temperature of an exhaust gas and thus can improve clarification characteristics of the exhaust gas. A collective honeycomb block or an integrated honeycomb monolith which is manufactured by joining and integrating, via a sealing material layer, a plurality of honeycomb units being formed by cells arranged in parallel along the longitudinal direction and cell walls as partitions between the cells, characterized in that the above sealing material layer or a sealing material layer being provided on the periphery of the honeycomb monolith comprises oxide particles, an inorganic binder and a coloring agent.</p> |
