METHOD FOR PROVIDING CALLER-APPOINTED MULTIMEDIA CONTENT BY USING URL INFORMATION IN CALLER MOBILE TERMINAL

A method for controlling a service for providing caller-appointed multimedia contents by using URL(Uniform Resource Locator) information in a calling party mobile communication terminal is provided to enable a service providing server to extract the caller-appointed multimedia contents from a multimedia contents DB(DataBase) and transmit the extracted contents to a called party mobile communication terminal. A method for controlling a service for providing caller-appointed multimedia contents by using URL(Uniform Resource Locator) information in a calling party mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving caller-appointed multimedia contents and receiver information which will be provided to a calling party mobile communication terminal; monitoring whether a call signal requesting a call connection with a called party mobile communication terminal is transmitted or not(S600); determining whether to provide the caller-appointed multimedia contents or not(S606,S610); and transmitting the call signal and the caller-appointed multimedia contents to the called party mobile communication terminal(S608,S614).
