A plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to enhance luminous brightness and discharge efficiency at a plasma discharge state by improving a structure of a rear panel thereof. A front panel includes a plurality of scan electrodes and a plurality of sustain electrodes. A rear panel is disposed opposite to the front panel. The rear panel includes a first address electrode(822a), a plurality of barrier ribs(821) and a second address electrodes(822b). The first address electrode and the barrier ribs are formed on an upper surface of a rear glass(820). The second address electrode is formed across the first address electrode. The second address electrode is formed in left and right directions between the barrier ribs.
