摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase change type optical information recording medium having satisfactory information recording medium characteristics capable of corresponding to high linear speed/high sensitivity and excellent shelf stability and its manufacturing method and especially provide the optical information recording medium free from corrosion of a reflection layer made of an Ag based material, having satisfactory production efficiency and capable of maintaining recording signal characteristics and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The phase change type optical recording medium includes at least a bottom protection layer, a recording layer, a top protection layer, and the reflection layer formed on a substrate having a guide groove in a concentric or spiral shape on one after another. A phase of the recordation layer can be changed by irradiation with a semiconductor laser light when information is to be recorded or rewritten.
