<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forgery and alteration of printed matter by producing a printed matter, where a binarized image is turned latent from an image data that has been formed of a latent image, by forming a latent image of binarized image data within original image data, generating an image data for distinction by reading an image for authenticity discrimination included in printed matter, and carrying out authenticity discrimination in comparing this image data for distinction with reference image data. <P>SOLUTION: The printed matter production method comprises image data input process, Hartley conversion process, arrangement rearrangement process, data composition process, reverse Hartley conversion process, and printing process.
