<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for dehydration of slurry requiring no pump supplying raw slurry to a filter press and enabling easy control of an arbitrary water content for various kinds of slurry having diversified nature with a simple apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has a filter press 16, a raw solution supplying means supplying raw slurry pressurized with compressed air to the filtering chamber 22 of the filter press 16 and a compressed air supplying means supplying compressed air dedicatedly.
