<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porcelain composition capable of being fired at low temperature with a small quantity of glass, a method of manufacturing the same and an electronic component using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The composition contains filler and glass. The filler consists essentially of filler satisfying conditions (1) and (2) when the composition formula is expressed by [xCaO yM<SP>1</SP>O zSiO<SB>2</SB>] (x+y+z=100 mol%). The glass contains at least Ba, Zn and Si in the quantity of 25-55 mass% Ba, 5-30 mass% Zn, 15-35 mass% B and 5-30 mass% Si expressed in terms of oxide of each element. The condition (1): M<SP>1</SP>is at least one kind of Mg and Zn. The condition (2): When (x), (y) and (z) are expressed by a triangular diagram, (x), (y) and (z) are in a zone of side AB, side BC, side CD and side DA (including each side) in diagram 1.
