PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice coil bobbin from which an excellent sound quality characteristic can be obtained. SOLUTION: The voice coil bobbin 500 for receiving driving force from a voice coil 600 wound around the bobbin 500 and delivering the driving force to a diaphragm 400 is formed with a base member, having linear members with their axial directions along the four different directions nearly in parallel with respect to the plane of the base member. Thus, specific directionality in expansion/contraction and strength properties is avoided from the base member, and the strength of the voice coil bobbin 500 can substantially be enhanced, without the need for particularly increasing the strength of fabric itself. Thus, bending of the voice coil bobbin 500 in the radial direction can be prevented, and the superior sound quality characteristics of a speaker system 100 can be obtained.
