PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute the updating of a pattern file for checking viruses in a mobile machine. SOLUTION: A mail reception part 102 receives a mail indicating that a pattern file for removing viruses can be updated. A mail determination part 103 determines information on kinds of machines described in the mail received by the mail reception part 102. Then, when the mail determination part 103 determines that the information on the kind of its own machine is described, a file updating part 105 acquires the pattern file corresponding to the information on the kind of its own machine.
