PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prophylactic and therapeutic agent of myocardiopathy containing PAMP because the PAMP exhibits internal organ-protecting activities for suppressing the myocardiopathy in hypertension. SOLUTION: The prophylactic and therapeutic agent of the myocardiopathy contains proadrenomedulin N-terminal 20 peptide (PAMP), a derivative thereof having activities for suppressing the myocardiopathy, or a salt thereof having activities for suppressing the myocardiopathy as an active ingredient.
