PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium sheet excellent in press moldability and surface gloss and capable of being obtained without encountering conventional problems such as the necessity for a complicated step and more particularly to provide such titanium sheet improved in press moldability without detriment to surface gloss by imparting a thin layer with dispersed TiC as hard particles to the surface. SOLUTION: The titanium sheet excellent in press moldability and surface gloss is characterized in that a TiC-containing layer is present near the surface of its substrate titanium, and the thickness of the TiC-containing layer is 300Åor larger.
