PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an animal-rearing material capable of quickly hardening animal excreta without indoor staining, and disposable through incineration and/or in a flushing toilet without emitting offensive odor, and also convenient to carry. SOLUTION: The animal-rearing material is obtained using cottonseed refuse as the main component, and by mixing the cottonseed refuse with a chemical agent having deodorizing effect, organic material(s), inorganic material(s), polymer(s), etc. followed by forming the mixture into granules or pellets.
