In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions in a folder for the use as a knee board with two folder lids ( 3 ) which comprise at least one receiver ( 5, 6 ) for documents and which are joined with each other by means of at least one joint ( 1 ) it is proposed that the joint ( 1 ) can be blocked by a latching device ( 7 ) which mutually joins the two folder lids ( 3 ) with one another.
