<p>The gate (10) has frames (12) running along a running direction of a gate unit and formed for receiving rollers. A number of oppositely arranged guide rails for the rollers are formed on inner side of the frames. A catch device is provided for securing the gate (10) against sliding at an upper gate unit that is facing a weight counterbalance unit (16). The catch device directly engages into the guide rails by a swivelable catch ratchet. An independent claim is also included for a catch device for a cover gate e.g. lift gate, rolling gate or sectional gate.</p>
