Saddle joint (1) has an inner sheet (2) and outer sheet (3) with an edge (5) bent around the inner sheet. The edge of the outer sheet and the inner sheet together define a gap. The outer sheet has several material recesses (6) made around its edge which reach into the gap made on the corner of the sheet. By the method the inner and outer sheets are made, adhesive is put around the edge of the outer sheet and/or inner sheet. The edge of the outer sheet is bent around the inner sheet, forming gap, adhesive is put into the gap, the joint is cleaned, dried and then coated with electro dipping lacquer and lastly sealed.
