LIGHT SCRIBE DISC AND METHOD FOR FOCUSING THEREOF

An optical disc capable of performing label printing and a focusing method thereof are provided to minimize the difference of focus levels for a data layer and a label layer of a light scribe disc by highly setting the thickness of a clamping area of a label surface of the light scribe disc within a permissible range of an optical disc device. When an optical disc in which the height of a clamping area of a label surface has the maximum amplitude in disc thickness capable of being mechanically clamped by an optical disc device is loaded(S10), a surface in which the optical disc is safely received in a turntable is confirmed(S20). An optical pickup objective lens is moved from a focus position for a data layer of the optical disc to a focus position for a label layer(S21). The optical pickup objective lens is moved by previously calculated focus level difference between the data layer and the label layer of the optical disc in consideration of the height of the clamping area.
