A method and a system for displaying images captured by a mobile camera on a mobile communication terminal are provided to transmit taken images to the mobile communication terminal of a receiver by using an OSGI system which converts the codec of images taken by the mobile camera into a format suitable for a mobile communication network, thereby enabling a user to confirm the state of a specific place anytime, anywhere. An RG(Residential Gateway)(110) converts the codec of image information data inputted from an NW CAM(Network Camera)(100) and generates the converted information data. An OSGI(Open Service Gateway Initiative) managing server(120) controls an operation application of the RG(110), receives the converted image information data from the RG(110), and transmits the converted image information data to a mobile communication terminal(196) through a mobile communication network(190). An HLR(Home Location Register)(160) receives the location information of the mobile communication terminal(196) and performs functions such as register recognition, register deletion, and location confirmation. A VLR(Visitor Location Register)(150) performs the location control, call processing, external operation processing of the mobile communication terminal(196). A TIIS(Telephony IP Integration System)(140) plays a role as a gateway between an IP(Internet Protocol) network(130) and the mobile communication network(190) based on a voice.
