<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing apparatus or a postal matter sorting device that can suppress a decrease in processing efficiency as various processing programs for processing paper sheets are executed, and efficiently process the paper. <P>SOLUTION: Various processing programs comprising a plurality of instructions which detect information including a feature quantity by a sensor portion 11 from a paper sheet S to be processed and obtain information for processing the paper sheet S from the information detected by the sensor portion 11 are loaded from an external memory 33 stored with the processing program in an internal memory of a high-speed CPU 31 selectively in processing program units, and a CPU core 41 of the high-speed CPU 31 executes the processing programs which are selectively loaded in the internal memory 42 in the processing program units to process the paper sheet on the basis of processing results of the processing program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
