<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain uniformity of brightness by surely preventing wrinkle of an optical sheet and preventing foreign matters, chloride of lime or the like from infiltrating inside the optical sheet or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A resin made hollow plate 9 with translucency is arranged at a front face of the light source of a backlight device in parallel with a light source face, and optical sheets 6 to 8 are stored and retained in the hollow plate 9. The above resin is preferred to be either acrylic, polycarbonate, or methacrylstyrene with optical characteristics diffusing transmitted light. Further, a resin-made hollow plate 11 with translucency with an opening at a top end is formed at a front face of the light source of the device in parallel with the light source face, optical sheets 16 to 18 are inserted into the hollow plate 11, top ends of the optical sheets 16 to 18 are locked to the opening, and the optical sheets 16 to 18 are hung down to support them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
