<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which lowering of a contrast ratio in a reflective display is prevented and coloring therein is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: Film thickness values of an optical retardation film 16R, an optical retardation film 16G, and an optical retardation film 16B are dR=2.1 μm, dR>dG=1.9 μm, dG>dB=1.6 μm in this order. Consequently, respective retardation values are rR=150 nm, rR>rG=138 nm, rG>rB=113 nm in this order. Furthermore, the respective retardation values can be nearly a quarter of a red wavelength (e.g. 120 nm<rR<180 nm), nearly a quarter of a green wavelength (e.g. 110 nm<rG<170 nm), and nearly a quarter of a blue wavelength (e.g. 80 nm<rB<140 nm) in this order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
