摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for detecting and inspecting flaws by means of an AC electromagnetic field measurement method, for reducing the effect of noise or of false signals even if a body under inspection is a complicated welded structure such as a bogie frame, used even by an inspector having little experience for easily and surely determining a flaw, etc., and used for easily and surely finding the position, size, and depth of the flow, etc. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with: a flaw detection probe 10 comprising an AC magnetic field generating coil 12, a Bx measuring coil 13, a Bz measuring coil 14, and a position sensor 18; an AC electromagnetic field measuring instrument 20 for giving an AC magnetic field to the detection probe to output magnetic flux densities Bx and Bz; and a data analyzer 30 for performing data-analysis on the flux densities Bx and Bz to detect the position of the flaw, etc. existing on the surface of the body under inspection. Errors in raw data due to the positions of the respective coils are corrected, then, smoothed and normalized data are prepared, magnetic flux density vectors B(z, x) from an original point O to points (Bz, Bx) are set based on the data, the vector product A of the vectors is calculated, and a flaw, etc. is determined to exist when the vector product A exceeds a prescribed threshold.
